* check the note below for more info on these ingredients

  • Cut up the mushrooms, onion and garlic
  • Bake the mock chick'n with chicken seasoning and put them aside
  • Bake the balls and put them aside

Starting the sauce

  • Melt 50 gr of butter and bake the 50 gr of flour
  • Then bake the onion, and a few minutes later the garlic
  • Then add the mushrooms and let them bake for a few minutes while sturring
  • Gently add the soymilk and soy cream, this way the sauce can bind with the flour
  • Add the juice of half a lemon, one block of bouillon, one tablespoon of thyme, 4 leaves of laurel, 1/4th teaspoon of nutmeg, a pinch of parsley and a pinch of ground cloves
  • Now add the mock chicken and the balls
  • Add pepper and salt if needed

  • For our vegan chick'n pieces and plant balls, we chose the "mock chicken" you can buy at a store called Sun Wah in Antwerp (Van Wesenbekestraat 16-18) en the "Huvudroll Plant Balls" from IKEA (the dark green package).
Of course you can make this recipe with other proteins. We chose these because they are cheap and also taste amazing.

Serve with love

  • Heat up the puff pastries in the oven and fry (or air fry) any form of potatoes you love and enjoy! 💚
